There are certain things we humans are pretty used to- 12 constellations pretty much tops the list. No one plays with the inevitability of this prospect of our life. It is our freaking identity, for go's sake. Okay, I might have been overexaggerating here a bit but let's take a moment to ponder over this.
Since birth, I thought that there are twelve constellations. It became a part of my identity and now suddenly, NASA enters the picture and tells everyone that it is not true. Is my whole life based on a lie? How can I trust anyone anymore? This is an apocalypse.
PS: I think something inside me is weeping. Is that you trust?
Can I overreact for a moment? Like is the grass even green?
Or will NASA tell us that we are seeing everything wrong. I am better now. So let's talk about this for a moment.
Avoiding a constellation.
According to NASA reports, a constellation named Ophiuchus was very conveniently avoided by Babylonians while they were preparing the zodiac calendar. Three thousand years ago they were operating on a moon-based calendar which correlated well with the 12 constellations but "even then, some of the chosen 12 didn't fit neatly into their assigned slice of the pie and slopped over into the next one."
